Tasted over 2 hrs -translucent light gold-green -somewhat reserved sweet lemon floral -med acidity, med/med- weight mineral linear focused saline gentle citrus, sappy residue adds to lingering finish -no oxidative notes, in a great place now with some lingering fruit wisps enhancing the minerally spine, tasted blind I might mistake it's origin for Chablis

Popped and poured. Solid yellow, good legs. Lean, with mineral and faint apple. A bit more ripe in the mouth, with fruit standing up well to the acidity that gives this a racy character. Well-made, no hurry to drink--probably has ten, not five years of enjoyment from here out. 5-12-17-8: 92/100.

Opened last night. This is an excellent white burgundy. Beautiful yellow – gold color, bright and clean. Excellent mineral – citrus nose. Hits all the right notes in the mouth: it’s creamy, steely, perfectly balanced, with a complex melange of citrus and marmalade flavors. Finishes beautifully. 5-12-17-9: 93/100.

Light golden in color and intensely aromatic, this Chardonnay continues to effuse gorgeous scents of lavender, wet stones, pit fruits, oyster shells and orange zest. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic, softly oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (13%), it delivers flavors mirroring the nose and stays dense on the mid-palate. Finishing with impressive length, this is classic-quality white Burgundy that needs to be served at cellar temperature or higher. It is evolving exactly as expected. Drink now-2027.

Pleasant, well-made, enjoyable though not necessarily going to wow you with complexity or power. Stony green and white orchard fruit and decent length. I understand this producer has had some premox issues, so I opted to open it on the young side. However, this stuff may need some more time.

Puligny Montrachet Masterclass with James Handford MW (Handford Wines, London) : Quite evolved, well secondary, rich, oxidative but not killed by premox. Bitter on the palate and generally felt very old and past its peak. Very surprising to see the 2006 ( Papies 91) that followed was a lot healthier and fresher than the 2007. No need to rate here.

Strågul farge. Aroma med medium intensitet og preg av sitron, mineraler, litt våt stein, melon, røkelse. I munnen er den fint balansert og på den litt slanke siden. Fin syre som gir vinen fin ryggrad. Smaken følger aroma. Ok lengde. Bra vin som mangler nyanser og kompleksitet for å virkelig engasjere. Bra match til grillet laks og grønnsaker.

Part of a blind tasting of Chardonnays put together by my friend jeffreylubowski. One of five wines consumed this evening. Opened two 375ml bottles. Boy, this wine is an outlier! Color was clearly reflective of an older wine. Nose and palate were odd and never improved. Oxidized nose and flavors with that Jura “flor” sherry element, which in this case, was very unappealing. From a half bottle. Very pleasantly surprised, as I've had a very high percentage of premoxed Thierry Matrot wines, to the point where I refuse to buy them even though they can be wonderful wines. This is really nice right out of the gate. Expressive aromas of minerals and wet stones and citrus fruits and a hint of white flowers. Bright, mouthwatering acidity, verve and a little concentration and well balanced. Long enough finish. Then develops some roundness and breadth while maintaining that Puligny mineral edge.
