Fond memories of Columbia of old.

Worth the wait as this has come together nicely. In a very nice drinking window. Well balanced.

When I bought this 4-5 years ago it was the tightest wine that I remember tasting. It was good to leave it on the shelf for a while. Still fairly tannic after uncorking, but loosened up and, now, delicious. However, a bit empty on the back end. Nice to see it turn around.

APPEARANCE: Nice, clean, medium red in color. Watery around the edges AROMA: Topsoil and violets are abundant on the nose, hints of white pepper TASTE: Raisins with mild tannins. Subtle flavors of cherry, tobacco, vanilla, and oak. Could maybe last another 2-3 years with proper cellaring

Cellar tracker reviews have been quite harsh on this wine. I found this to be an enjoyable dinner wine. Wine has nose of blueberries leather cedar and tobacco. It took a while for these fragrances to show. Fruit flavors are abundant. The wine is a bit hot at the end. But generally this is a balanced wine with subtle structure.

Originally tasted this in the winery's tasting room a year ago and was impressed enough to buy a bottle. We should have opened it sooner as it is obviously past its prime. It came off as flat, but I wouldn't say it was bad, just not much body or structure to it. This sucks!

Baking spice and herbs on the nose. Flavors of black cherry, cassis, bay leaf and cedar. Strong tannins remain. -Tasted at Winery
