Should have held longer. Decanted 4 hours, seems it could have used 24. paired excellent with a steak, helping break down the huge tannins but it wasnt until much later in the night that this wine started showing itself.

Decanted 2 hours. This was mellow and soft tannins and smooth. Nothing special though.

Day 1, no decant: earthy black fruit nose, black cherry, black plum, blackberry, dust, cedar, light tobacco, cocoa, ample soft tannins, very long finish with fruit exceeding tannins. This is a joy now, but still youthful. Day 2, as hoped the fruit and aroma has exploded with more complexity on the palate up front and through the finish--dominated by black plum and dust, tannins grippy but not overwhelming. Long life ahead/

A year later this is really starting to show. Beautiful with a 4 hour decant. No hard edges.

Still drinking a little tight and could benefit from some aging. Dusty tannins with blackberry on the long finish. A solid cab.

Decanted for almost 2 hours. Aromas of violets, blackberry, currant, cherry and lead pencil. Flavors of blackberry, plum, currant, black cherry, hint of vanilla and a bit of iron. Ends with a nice finish of 30+ seconds with currant and vanilla notes. Pretty balanced for 15.5% alcohol. Nice wine and reminds me of Schrader in some ways.

This was quite tasty for $66 I paid on Last Bottle. Aromatic, fragrant, blueberries, violets and crushed stones. Overall, medium medium in texture and length. Not in the same league as others but enjoyable

Even at $60, QPR is not worth it.

Decanted for 6 hours and it needed it. Drank beautifully but this beauty will last for years. A treat

Decanted for 3 hours, and it was NOT enough. Best on day 3 actually. This wine is locked up pretty tight right now, even after the decant. Dusty tannins take the helm after a blast of luscious cassis and black cherry fruit. By day 3 the tannic structure had relaxed and the fruit was really able to shine. Very typical Napa Cabernet fruit, with that gritty mouthfeel, weight and richness. Great acid that felt nicely integrated with the fruit and …

Very aromatic. Wonderfully fragrant. Light tannins. Dark fruit. Seems a little tired.

First bottle after a 7 week detox for Logan’s birthday, so taste buds might be off. Paired with waygu steak and Cacio Al Pepe with truffles. Still very primary. Lots of overripe plums.
