Found this in my cellar. I have no recollection of where I bought, or when, but it was so deep that it was probably about 8 years ago. Stood upright and was clear, so I decanted 3/4 before the light sediment dust showed. Nose held earth, tart, some mold like old moldy wood of barn, plums, hints at spices. Audozed 2 hours; needs 2 hours in decanter, actually. Served non-blind at 17C. Opens with tiny bit of co2, then on to aromas that are woodsy/forest, with an herbal thrust that punches through a heavy, lovely layer of soil; followed very slowly by subtle red fruits. Light+ body at first, but adds some (needed) weight. With another 30 minutes, some pine and balsam wood. At the 90 minute mark, stones, citrus, more body, it's really come alive in an elegant …
