What a beautiful wine! The nose is quite pronounced with peach, a little citrus and tropical limes and honey, and a liitle candied fruit. The palate is the same but is maturing nicely with a richness as the citrus is less and more of the tropics and some nuttiness has developed over the years. For the price this is outstanding I paid £25 on first release from @laywheeler and this is a beauty. Have 2 bottles left, for the journey …

having a 1 hr. decant; fairly golden in color with honeyed and herbal nose; the palate shows so much development at this point. Silky, viscous and only slight bitterness at the finish. Such a lovely wine. Don't think it can get better without losing some vivacity.

Wow, it's years since I have had this grape and what a wine. It's got stone fruit, yet lots of lime, lemon and grapefruit. It's got power and fatness but it's got great acidity. I know it's a top end example but it's excellent at £25 it's a bargain. It's like Riesling meets White Rhone this is truly stunning stuff. 95 points

Just outstanding. Gorgeous plump veltliner fruit that shows no signs of slowing down. In a perfect spot for seared halibut with chantrelles and pea shoots. Glad I drank, very glad I have more.

Really tasty Gruner here. Nose is quite ripe with honeysuckle, ripe peach and apricot, orange peel and candied lime, flint, and just a hint of a green freshness that I can't quite place. The palate is rich and ripe with great stone fruit, floral notes, and stony minerality.
