The wine looks yellow gold colored. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like orange, lime, a hint of petrol and apple blossom. It tastes like gooseberry, petrol and grapefruit. Bouquet mit exotischer Frucht, Reifenoten (Firnis) und Mineralik; am Gaumen wunderbar ausbalancierter, schön gereiften, klarer Riesling mit sehr ausgewogener Balance von Säure und Mineralik. Langer, toller Abgang. Sehr lecker

A German Wine Tasting-cum-Lunch (Restaurant De Nederlanden *, Vreeland, NL) : Marries depth and elegance, orange fruit, playful but serious, depth and lift, ripe and juicy, impressive.

German wine tasting followed by a Lunch (@ de Nederlanden) : Beautiful and clean bouquet with white fruits. On the palate good freshness, firm acidity and bite. Good length. No more notes.

This is still young. Distinctly pettillant on opening, better after 24 hours. Petrol and lemon nose. Gloriously rich palate, though bone dry. No longer searingly acidic - a great dry riesling even without food.

VinoLaprisco Tasting (Restaurant De Karpendonkse Hoeve *, Eindhoven, Netherlands) : First day: A whirlwind of flowers and spice, elegant, mineral and almost light in context. After four days in the fridge, the crisp 2008 acidity is keeping the wine very much alive, it has settled down a bit, shows a slight touch of honey but the remaining fresh fruit of apples and greengages is still vibrant. Should have another decade in it.
