Enjoyable and happy little wine. At 9 years of age, displaying good traits and more rounded Ness than many other Sauvugnon Blancs of this age.

Very rich and creamy, lemon curd. Minerals in finish. Worked with ham.

Nose waxy Meyer lemon, a tad bit of chives and other herbs, mineral, seawater. Palate remarkably full, likely partially ML, but very intensely acidic still with a mineral underpinning. Good fruit. Showing well, and no hurry to drink this.

It's 2 years since we last tasted this wine and it is now at full maturity, so drinking my last bottle at just the right time. Served to accompany smoked salmon. Deep lemon/gold colour. A rich nose and palate, plenty of ripe fruit, lemons, honey. Quite long. An excellent example of white Bordeaux at this price.

from 375ml Wine was tired (fruit nearly gone) but nice salinity and herbal flavor profile. 750ml should be nice today. 88+/- Would buy again but would drink sooner (or buy a 750ml bottle).

This vintage is not as interesting as in the past. Refreshing, but not much there.

This was the only white wine in the fridge when Dulcie returns expressing a desperate need for such a thing so the last bottle is opened. I must get more of this. I will say again, such a good wine for the price from an area that is probably under-appreciated for its dry, minerally, elegant white wines.

Very refreshing fruit forward Graves. Nose of yeast and citrus. Nicely balanced on the palate. Has more of the ambience of a Loire wine than a Graves.I suspect this might get more interesting in a year or two, but is very nice now.

Only a few days have elapsed since the initial tasting and purchase, so nothing new to add on that score. Very pleasant quaffable balanced wine able to stand on its own. Makes me think we tend to overlook white Graves.

Bordeaux class at Maple and Ash (Maple and Ash Chicago, Illinois) : First wine at the Mavens "Bordeaux class." Pale straw, hint of green; sweet floral aromas; lean, slight citrus, clean, medium acidity, hint of sweetness, tropical notes. 75 % semillon, 20 % sauv blanc, 5 % muscadelle. Very sporting price on this.

Opened magnum for large dinner but guests brought white wine. Tasted a glass than vacuvinned and refrigerated. Racy with dominant sauvignon fruit. Hopefully more later as we work on the bottle this week.

Nose of pronounced grapefruit. Nice legs belies the acidic aroma. Very nice melon flavor w/soft acidity. Nose shows more acidity than is present upon drinking. This has a balanced acidity w/nice fruit flavor. A nice refreshing wine. Enjoyed. Completely agree with majority of reviews of this wine. Everyone hits the profile "right on" the head!

Venue: Mom & Dad's; General Notes: I cant stop thinking of the iconic 80’s art of Patrick Nagel as I drink this natural Graves (sauvignon blanc and sémillon). Right out of the gate, it smells of straw, seashells, and spring peach. It really opens up as it warms, with high contrast flavors of citrus zest, watermelon rind, honey, and some lingering saline. Mildly assertive on the tangy side of the spectrum, but with roundness and corners both in evidence. Those qualities worked well with salmon roasted in lemon slices and dill.

Proper flavor profile for type, a little more acid in the finish to clear would have elevated it, but that may have been there two years ago. Still a pleasant bottle, grapefruit palate and light grass nose, nice drinker.

It’s been a few years… was it always this floral? I didn’t take notes before and can’t recall such a prominent perfume. AS remembered though it’s lovely and an excellent gravelly Graves with perfect harmony of Semillion, Sauvignon blanc, and that flowery Muscadelle. The percentages are 80, 15, and 5 respectively yet feel equally measured. There’s just-right acidity now but with such a blanket of the soft wooly-tongued Semillon I would drink this well chilled and in the near present.

Very nice, minerality, fresh green apple fruit, doesn't feel particularly dry or acidic (maybe slightly more towards roundness but not flabby), slightly stinky nose like Sauv Blanc, slight earthiness of terroir, very easy drinking. Grade: B+.

Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of ripe citrus aromas of grapefruit, lemons/limes and a hint of green apples & white nectarines with lovely floral & mineral overtones, lemongrass and some spices. Light bodied with a good concentration of crisp, balanced ripe fruit flavors of grapefruit, lemons/limes, honeydew melon & green apples with minerals and some spices. Lingering crisp dry finish. Drinks quite well at present.

Floral nose upon opening. Weak color, nice grapefruit nose with forward acidity. On the palate more acidic than I thought would be present. As a note of bias I am not a fan of acid grassy wines. Flavor of grapefruit. Acid did soften with tuna entree. Flavor of green apples. Although not my style of wine this would be a nice spring wine for those who appreciate Blanc style wines.

This white Bordeaux (imported by Kermit Lynch) was re-visited, with a very similar impression to 6/30/14. Straw-colored, crisply acidic and with excellent minerality, it offers citrus, lemongrass and spice aromas which are followed by a light-bodied palate with similar flavors. Again, super impressive. Drunk over a day. At first, the semillon is almost all you can taste (75%), with it's fleshiness and honey/melon/honeydew melon notes. With more air, you can start to taste the Sauvignon blanc along with it, especially toward the finish. Honeydew melon up front, SB grapefruit notes rounding out the finish, which is long and clean. Real wine. I can see why everyone who works for KL has so much respect for this wine.

Second Sunday Group: Produttori del Barbaresco Riservas (L's) : Light yellow color. Sweet apple notes dominate the bouquet and palate. A little woody on the palate, with honeysuckle notes as well. Fairly simple and straightforward.

Lovely, fresh and distinct. A delicate Graves lemongrass white with pleasing acid and a long lemony finish. 12% alc and just perfect for starting the evening. This will age but why wait it is quite nice now.

Very nice nose with nice layers of spice, grapefruit, and flowers. Light intensity with the spice notes more prominent. On taste very good texture with the semillon dominating. Creamy with a smooth medium length finish. Very nice. I forgot how good white Bordeaux can be at this price point.

I forgot how good this was...not super complex, but it has real personality, with its native yeast ferment and super low SO2, it's filled out and sapid and expressive. Dubourdieu is working magic here considering the pricetag.
