Domaine Grand Veneur Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc La Fontaine

Certainly nearing the end but this wine still has a lot to offer. A beautiful golden hue. Still some honeysuckle along with some faint tropical fruit.

The wine was medium gold in colour and showed intense apricot, herbs, anise, mild spice, liquorice and a salty component on the palate, with lively acidity and very good length. The wine had a sensational, rich, creamy and super smooth mouthfeel. The amazing texture made you take sip after sip, although the wine’s richness was almost too much to take. Bellissimo dorato. Al naso albicocca, nocciola, zucchero a velo, timo, salvia e tiglio. Bocca di bella sapidità, lunga, appagante

Plain yellow; buttery slightly spiced nose; fat but somewhat sour, somewhat flat, muted. Good but not exciting.

Splendid golden hues. Nose reminds of butter, hazalnuts. In the mouth it aìstart with mineral notes, followed by brioche, cheesecake, vanilla. Amazing. Quite burgundian in character. (2009-2013)

Mid yellow, powerful, tasty

crazy wine that goes through weird oxidative states, coming into a out of life like a zombie. Started with a strong floral elements, perfumy in presence, Lots of mineral, stone and tangerine. On the palate great acidity with melon rind driven flavors that grip the palate for a long time. Just a touch of honey.
