Lovely example of this varital grape. Tasted at the winery and brought home. Perfect pairing with lemony shrimp with risotto. Would buy again. Oh wait I already purchased the 2019......... Yea its freaking good juice.......

Sue: Nose is faintly tropical, pineapple and maybe mango. Maybe pear? Full mouth feel—slight butter like an oaked Chardonnay but lighter and more delicate on the palate. Faintly floral. Clean finish. Very nice. Me: smells of pear and cedar. Acidic front end. Butter drops, finishes dry. Not too bad for a buttery wine. Will pair quite well with a curry.

Tasted blind. Incorrectly identified as Erbaluce. Med yellow; Complex aromatics ranging from citrus and peach fruit, savory earth, to yeast and lightly buttered toast. The chalky textured palate shows ripe peach, apricot, honeydew, and snappy minerality on the long finish. High acid and full of texture. All indicators of a heavily acidic grape, wild yeast, barrel fermentation and light aging, and French inspired batonnage.

Wildcard Wines - Tiplers Blind Tasting Group (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA) : Tasted blind. Incorrectly identified as a South African Chenin Blanc. Oily grape skin texture, lanolin, petrol-like funkiness to go with some dried floral, honeycomb, apple, and lemon flavors. Sharply acidic with a slight phenolic bitterness on the finish.
