I love the elegance of this wine, everything is in balance. There is a touch of oak, ripe fruit, and wonderful acidity that made this a great pairing with tapas. This wine balances modern and traditional Rioja trends. Highly recommended.

Nice fruit on the nose. Ton of oak when first opened. Mellowed out with time in the glass. Dried currant, menthol & earthy flavors. A little spice with a good finish. Drank over a few days and was best on the last day.

Earth, oak, plum, berry flavors. Medium body. Always a good budget wine. Does well with many foods.

Very green, let it sit for a year or so. Addendum. The next night the same bottle smoothed out considerably. Try decanting if you open it anytime soon.

Better than the last bottle. Light body, good fruit and smooth tannins. Food friendly. Will buy more for our weekday wine.

RUSSK A slight bitterness that blew off 3hrs after openning. Not bad, but not that complex or interesting either. Would not buy again at $15.

Very similar to prior notes; a bit more of a dusty note on the nose than before.

Ruby-red in the glass, inky. Inviting nose, but not overpowering, with red fruit dominant. Abundant flavors, cherry, raspberry, plum, and cinnamon spice in the mouth. Perfectly balanced, with a long finish. Excellent wine.

Dark purple in the glass with plum and lots of heat on the nose. The heat blew off on the palate replaced with cherry, blackberry, black pepper, spice, and earthy flavors. All the flavors came together with a nice balance, leading to a pleasant finish. A good value at $14.
