Very well rounded edges. Nicely aged and perfectly drinkable. Accompanied us to an italian restaurant. Paired well with Salmon with Pesto, Braciola Napolitano and chicken with Capers and Artichokes.

Liked it better, seemed deeper of flavor and balance. Enjoyed with an Italian meal with pork meats.

Not my favorite bottle of Retaggio. could have been bottle, or perhaps what I had with. Seemed off.

Saturday night - Jess' 21 party at the house. Served this red for Lisa and the girls - though Mel drank white wine. Drank one bottle - gave the remaining two to Lisa and Rachel to take home.

Friday of July 4th weekend - Al&Lynn, Harry&Pam - over for clams a- followed by grilled pizza and garden fresh salads. Had the red wine with the pizzas - enjoyed by most - but a little disappointing for me - seemed a bit flabby - should have known better as that's my typical expereince with Cali Sangiovese. Oh well. Maybe a little more time in the bottle will help.

Bold fruit, nice round mouth feel, rich tannins and structure without bitterness. Excellent, easy drinking wine that can stand up to spicy Italian sauces.

Not to spicy for a Sangio blend. Very good everyday wine!

Excellent wine, consistent with the 2006 Retaggio. Immediate flavors of chocolate and mild spice with boysenberry fruit. Enjoyable, easy-drinking wine that really goes well with food. A solid, reliable "go to" wine for casual nights.

Little tighter, acidic than 2006. Enjoyable, but might wait a bit before having more.
