Had a year ago and liked it a lot better back then. This time the wine seemed rough with hard edges and cooked fruit. Wasn't undrinkable at all. Just not as fresh as I remembered. Perhaps stored incorrectly.

Eye: Medium to light ruby. Nose: Pomegranate, cherry, caramel. A little cacao and bacon fat. A little earth and baking spice. Palate: Very good acid, moderated tannin. Cherry juice, grenadine. A little meat, spice, smoke, and mushroom. Finish: Cherry, cacao, smoked bacon. I agree with the other user; there is something lactic on the back palate.

Lovely ripe fruit more red than black, med + acidity with med tannins drinking well may develop more with time but just a very good weekday wine.

Certainly ripe but by no means over-blown. Luscious black cherry fruits. Freshly tilled soil. Violets. Nice depth and drive. Good mineral detail. Classy and polished but still soulful. A very good drink, with plenty of structure buried for now.

Barnyard (typical Bruno Clair?), strawberries, raspberry, cherry and buttermilk (diary product). Good harmony between the nose and the palate with good freshness and acidity. One to buy again.
