Royal Lochnagar 26 Year Old Casks of Distinction #1289 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 56.3%, 503 bottles

Spiced apples, ginger, toffee, cinnamon and waxy notes on the nose. There's some dark chocolate here too. Very fruity, peaches and apples, and then lots of spice: black pepper, cinnamon. Great balance and texture. Very spicy finish. Apparently European oak though not sure about sherry, first fill/ refill etc. Lots of spice so thinking a pretty active cask but not overtly sherried. Whatever, it's an extremely tasty drop.
