Decanted for 30min then back in bottle. Initially a good whiff of volatile acids after decant which mostly blew off. Mild VA aromas with hint of parmesan, red cherries, green stems and a dry, woodsy bark. Palate showed more dark cherries, earth, bark, mild green stems that give a nice savory edge. Nice acids. The nose had notes of flowers, cherries, and earth. The palate tasted of red fruits and there was a pleasant acidity A nice Pinot, I am looking forward to trying their single vineyard bottlings, if I can get my hands on some.

Decanted for 2h. A: Brambly red and black fruits, earth, bark, and some green herbs and stems that swirls from one aroma to the next P: Red wiht more black fruits, earth, bark, green herbs all mixing and joining together Tannins at the end. Nice moderate finish with waves of flavor with smooth tannins at very end. Suave and elegant. Nicely done.

This wine benefited from aeration. It opened significantly after about 90 minutes with a noticeable floral aroma. The color is a very pale red, though my Zalto burgundy glass probably enhances the pale nature of this wine. The wine tastes neither of burgandy or California, but is somewhere in the middle with a slight new world leaning. The palate has fleshy red fruits of strawberries and bing cherries. Ok. This has not improved since my first bottle two years ago. In fact, it's borderline horrendous. To call it odd would be an understatement. There's perhaps some interesting fruit lurking somewhere, but it's completely overwhelmed by something that if not VA, does a very good job of mimicking it. Update: Trying to salvage this, I decanted for sediment, rebottled, and shook the heck out of it, sort of like the MollyDooker shake. It made this wine better, bordering on …

Drank this with 2012. Lighter, more on red fruit spectrum, with earth, brambles, pinot fruit, and a peppery dose on the finish. Really good.

Bright red. Pale. Clear at the edge. Waited 15 mins for funk to blow off. Bright, transparent purplish-red; cool fruit nose - raspberry - with good acid. Easy with food. My wife noted it was lacking a bit of concentration, but I liked the elegance.

On the nose - Earthy, punky. A fair bit of barnyard and maybe a hint of VA. All that blows off a bit, and when it does, what's underneath appears to be quite pleasant. On the palate, nice balance and seemingly well made. That said, I can't get past the nose, which is just not my style. The next bottle will require some thought re: food pairing, as I don't see myself drinking this on its own.
