Intense cherry on the nor and palette right off the bat. 60-90 minutes after opening yielded some subtle baking spices - cloves, and cinnamon. Good acidity - great pairing with miso salmon. I have yet to taste a Hartford Pinot that wasn’t excellent. Not sure how much more complex this gets with age - but I had no qualms opening it in 2025.

A lot of fruit up front, not a ton of acidity. Some good RRV fragrance on nose. Intense but lacks finish. Prefer other pinot cuvées from Hartford. Tasted at Healdsburg tasting room

Sweet ripe cherries, plum, raspberry, powdered sugar (not off putting), fresh roses, crushed earth. Great length and balance with a fresh profile that left you wanting more.

Hartford zin at its finest! Medium bodied red fruits, spice, and a long acid filled finish. Perfect blend of fruit and structure. THIS....is why Hartford is squarely at the top of my favorite zin producers (alongside Bedrock, Carlisle, and Once & Future)

Clear medium ruby in color with medium plus intensity and notes of cherry, pencil shavings, graphite, red currant, dried rose, raspberry, cranberry, and dried soil. This wine is dry with high acid, medium tannins, medium body, high alcohol, and medium finish.

Big California Pinot. Nose of cherries, cola, but not much sous bois. Palate is expressive and bold, with a lot of fruit and round, sweet, well-integrated tannins. Little bit of that spiciness which is typical of Sonoma evident as well. Despite a relatively substantial ABV of 14.8%, it doesn’t create much heat on the back palate. Finish is quite long. This is quite excellent.

Wines consumed over 3 hours beginning at 7:30 pm (for me). Drank a glass double blind over 3 plus hours. Well I was certain this was a California pinot. 92-93 pts

I think my tastes have changed towards lighter wines in the last few years. Was a little disappointed in this last night having had high expectations. Loved this when I tasted at the winery in May 2015. Opened last night and it came across as more of a soft syrah with some oak influence rather than pinot noir. Had a touch of sweetness. Needed a bit more acidity. Was pleasant to drink, but not what I hoped this would be.

A beautiful, soft nose with notes of plum, blackberries, black raspberries, kirsch and a touch of wild flowers. The palate is surprisingly light and elegant with bright acidity. Flavors of black raspberries, kirsch and a touch of soy lead to notes of oak and spice. The finish is long and elegant with lingering acidity and bramble fruits.

This has evolved beautifully. A big boy Pinot, that has a huge nose, big silky body with tons of red fruits, with some white pepper, cedar, and silky tannins. This is all Sonoma fruit with no funk or earth, but still offers depth and decent complexity. This is a Pinot for Cab lovers.

At the Hotel du Vin in Harrogate. Silky Pinot, touch of tomato to good red fruits. Youthful but opens up well in the glass. Reminiscent of a village Morey in style and weight but sweeter fruit. Good.

Fabulous pinot. Penetrating, effusive nose with black cherry and rhubarb pie notes. Great depth: oozes pinot typicity on the palate. Microfiber tannins with a touch of tea on the finish. Not as much menthol as the previous tasting, but a slight cooling effect. Better than last time. Great wine--paired wonderfully with Amanda's broiled steelhead and fried rice.

Decanted for an hour. Rich dark fruit, mostly black cherry, with good structure and a smooth, long finish. The dense concentration of fruit is reminiscent of some of Hartford's premium single-vineyard pinots. This is not the bright fruit, light-bodied wine that some seek when choosing a pinot, but it's well-made and a good bargain at $28.

Huge aromas of dark fruits, vanilla, black cherry, and a hint of spice with a full bodied palate of sweet dark fruits and decent acidity for balance. A big Russian River Pinot that you can sniff and "chew on" for hours. Suitable for more hefty and substantial food courses that would typically pair with a Zin or a Cab, but also delightful to sip on alone.

This California Pinot Noir took us by surprise for its intense red nose, in ways more resembling the alcoholic fruitiness of a Zinfandel and the shale notes of Petit Verdot. Far more substantial than your typical Pinot, we ultimately found the brambly palate of beach plum and other berries to be very smooth. This is one of those hearty Pinots that you can drink in the same sitting as a Cabernet Sauvignon, and love it!

Dark purple color, near opaque with a 1 inch pour. Rich expansive nose-filling aromas of red and black cherry with a touch of lavender and rose. Caressing texture, amazingly smooth for a 3 year old Pinot. Impressively concentrated and delicious flavors with no heaviness and just enough tannin and acid to have no flabbiness. Lightly drying with zero astringency or harshness. Astonishingly good for a generic Russian River bottling, proof positive that Hartford Court belongs in the top tier of …

Beautiful deep magenta. Decanted for nearly an hour before dinner (grilled yellowfin tuna, Asian slaw, mashed potatoes). Pleasant floral nose with pomegranate, rhubarb, and black cherry notes. Followed over 4 days. Initially backwards and reticent with a slightly musty, dark fruit nose and palate. On day 4, finally opened up with wild berry notes, bramble, and hints of smoke. Palate balanced yet restrained with good acidity and smooth tannins. For a RVV wine, this comes across as being somewhat Burgundian with its restrained fruit. Whereas Burgundy has more barnyard, forest floor, truffles and mushrooms, this wine replaces that with bramble and hints of smoke. Those looking for …
