This particular bottle was probably at the very end of its drinking time. It had lost its sparkle, burnt edges and copper hues, which is to be expected of a wine this age for sure. At first I found this to be very simple, and while that never really changed still it turned into a really nice good-value-everyday-red with one day in the fridge. Dark fruit, cedar, tobacco, dusty sandy minerality and a hint of earthy root vegetables.
