Great 100 % Syrah Tuscan of Le Macchiole: blackberry, pepper, oak, dark fruit, purple cherry, blackcurrant, medium plus body, great depth with Syrah sweatness in the finish.

Drank at event, no formal notes. Big and ripe, showing more like a New world wine. Polished and lush, seamless texture. Fruit in front, fruit in the middle, and fruit in pack.

Walkaround tasting. Enjoyable but slightly underwhelming. Rich fruit but with out the energy that I want from top shelf Old World Syrah. And not nearly as precocious and yummy as the finest New World Syrah.

I love scrio but this was pretty one note. Thick wine, lots of chocolate, blueberry. Lots of fruit! No spice. Maybe it needs to mellow a little?

Oh my goodness...this is one the best I have had in my personal cellar. Beautiful notes blackberry, chocolate, espresso maybe, deep...layered, silky tannin, smooth...was wonderful after 1 hour of decanting. This one is a must!! I wish I had bought a case of this one.

Nose was ok, dark berries, spices, minerals, however, it was quite oaky and dry on the palate, finish was rather short with oak and blueberry jam, quite new world Syrah, wondering if it will improve next two days 0120 - changed the rating from I don’t like it to neutral / the wine actually improved a lot over next 4 days with oak easing off and fruits offer much more balance.
