Great with cheeseburgers, fruit forward with nice depth.

It’s drinking better now than a couple of years ago.

Like the 2015 version of this wine before it, this is a bit disappointing. It is both jammy and thin which is an odd combination, as well as over oaked for the depth and quality of the material. Some greenery on the finish. A bit of a mess. On a cold night with Indian food I suppose it is passable but not a wine to seek out.

Didn’t take notes but this was drinking well, some nice sweet berry fruit, at least M acid and not as dense/extracted as I expected.

He is getting better but in a good place. Let it open up.

Really enjoyed this. Very interesting nose with a coffee beans note. Palate echoed that, and otherwise was in line with a typical well-made French GSM blend - right up my alley.

Nice dark fruits are offset by medium tannins and understated acidity. Drinks easily with or without food. Starting to fade, so drink ASAP.

DAVEYK39 nailed their review, I can’t think of anything to add. The 2016 drank like it was peaking now (2023) so I wouldn’t wait much longer.

Still showing well, all the rough edges gone. My last bottle but if you still have some, it will go a year or two more.

This really needs time to open up. Much better on day 2. I would say 2 hours to really have the fruit open up.

Really interesting blend of 63% Grenache, 23% Carignan and 14% Syrah, planted on steep slopes of schist in the Pyrenees foothills. Pale ruby color. Fruit is a bit shy, hiding behind intense minerality: aromas of gravel, wood smoke, leather, sage, and cherry. Tightly wound at first, eventually unfolds flavors which are not nearly as mineral-driven as the bouquet: cherry, dust and a hint of licorice. Smooth and sinewy, with a depth that makes me optimistic about this wine's future. Note: …

V.g. Happy that I kept a couple bottles. QPR standout.

This is a nice wine. I liked 2015 and 2013 better but very nice. Some nice spice, dark fruit and a good finish. Very good qpr.

Big over-achiever for QPR. Much fruitier (rich berries) than I remember earlier vintages of this, and less savory, but very tasty, good quality juice and winemaking on display here.

Really in your face at first—give it at least an hour in the glass or decanter. Settled down to a nicely balanced blend, on the heavier, darker side courtesy of the Syrah. A bit gamey, a bit fruity

Nice nose, very dark color, very nice grenache blend, smooth on the palate. Excellent QPR at $15

Like a good CdRV, but fruitier. Will keep a few years but good now.
