Tasted out of two glasses: 1. Riedel Big Red Burgundy Sommelier glass 2. Riedel Pinot Nor glass We ultimately preferred the wine out of the regular Pino Noir glass. While the taste from the Sommelier showed a bit more tension and concent6ration we preferred the wine from the other glass because it conveyed more elegance. Anyway, this was just a matter of personal preference for my wife and myself. Powerful bouquet and quite dark color, showing lots of concentration. Stewed …

Thanksgiving 2024 Willamette Valley Visit (Willamette Valley) : Consumed at Bergstrom: Nose is a nice mix of earth, florals and baking spice. Palate is red-berry driven, quite silky, nicely structured. This was the prettiest of the 4 Bergstrom Pinot's we tasted. Was enjoyable to drink this while staring at the vineyard this wine came from right out the window, which is 12 acres on a Southeast facing slope, with full sun exposure on Jory.

Oregon tasting @ Lars : Dark colour. Large-scaled, powerful and dark-fruited style. For me it lacks the Pinot elegancy but thats my preference and I can easily see why many would rate it higher.

From magnum. A hint of crimson in glass, PnP gives prominent dominant red cherry and Asian tea. Sleek and pure. After 60-90 min, evolves to the dark, peppery profile as noted 10 months ago.

From magnum. Stemmy notes with beautifully integrated dark cherry and pepper. Wonderfully balanced 30 sec finish. Love this with or without food. Very, very early in its peak, easily 3 or 4 more years here before any signs of becoming tertiary or advanced.

Big big big. Well crafted pinot but would encourage continued cellaring or a long decant to coax out the fruit. Too much oak with pop and pour.

Dark ruby. Savory dark fruit, with a pleasant suggestion of bitterness. Quite structured, suggesting good potential to evolve — but at this point it struck us as somewhat monolithic. Nevertheless, quite enjoyable over three nights.

Ground coffee beans, dark fruits, cocoa and spices. Big, powerful expression of Pinot Noir – you’ll either love it or hate it.

Clear deep dark ruby with pink tint on edge. Highly viscous, great legs. On the nose, several bright fruits including cherry, blueberry, even almost blackberry. Very powerful fruit aromas, very little oaking if any. Spices of clove and cinnamon. On the palate it is hugely viscous, massive layers of fruit with little minerality, very focused, clean, laser-like precision. Good acid balanced with sweetness. Medium to long finish. An hour later, the spices came through, including a slight interesting bitterness on …
