Leth Grüner Veltliner Steinagrund

From the Wagram region. Not sure if Steinagrund is a vineyard-wine is not listed on their website. From memory. Regardless, expressive aromas of citrus, white pepper, minerals. Palate follows with nice acids, minerals, and some depth. Nice complexity given the price. Nice QPR.

This wine was straw in color and revealed bosc pear and passion fruit notes on the nose. The mouth feel was dominated by the zippy acidity, stoniness and minerality. The finish was dry but assertive and the acidity left me longing for more. Purchased for $14US, this wine is an excellent value with outstanding QPR. I like this wine every much and would easily purchase it again.

Dirt with rocks, floral, soft body but good zip. I like it.
