At Wm. Mulherin & Sons in Philadelphia, great food and interesting wine list. This one recommended by the somm, with the main courses. Splash decanted and drank over a 90 minutes. Medium garnet ruby color. Expressive nose right out of the bottle, showing dark fruits, minerals, brown sugar graze and mineral notes. Palate showing cherry liqueur, figs, plums and burnt sugar. Jeg åbnede og kasserede to flasker. Den er i gang med at blive til vineddike efter min vurdering. Har fået dem som gave, kan se at forhandleren har solgt den for nyligt til 300 kr. flasken. Måske lige "smart" nok for en døende vin.

Liquorice, tobacco with plums, cherry and fruity scents in a full body wine. Decanted for an hour and a half. Pleasant overall.

Garnet-black; cherry brandy, prunes, cedar; dried cherry, stewed fruit, medium body, good structure, heavy, hot, tannic finish. Decanted 2 hrs. Thought this tasted port-like, then I read the back label: 16% alcohol! Too much for venison chili. This is a whopper to be drunk at a feast when you want to get plastered! Smoothed out and tannins softened after 3 hrs.
