Dark plum, raisins, prunes, dried cherry and spices on a very aromatic nose. Full bodied (16% ABV) with plum, red cherry and raisins upfront. Mid-body shows good integration and roundness, along with darker plum, some black cherry and some very pleasantly dense blackfruit based notes towards the back. Great nose; I smelled it as soon as I pulled the cork. Intense berries, dark cherries and plums. Great taste, chewy, chewy with a complexity in taste that changed as you drank the glass. Big on tannins but not astringent. Very well done. I highly recommend this wine.

Prunes clearly dominate this wine. With air, some chocolate notes developed, but this wine remained a bit too pruny for my palate.

dry and spent

Had this wine for New Years. It has all of the body, concentrated current flavors and high acidity that you would expect from an amarone but is also light enough to enjoy with food and has a very clean finish. Cheers...

Absolutely gorgeous. Powerful and intense, dark and complex fruitness, soft and perfectly sweet. Perfect to cheese.
