Fresh and savory notes in good harmony. With apple and pomelo, some quince and yeasty notes, creme brulee and wet stones. Subtle with precise acidity. Very present keeping your attention

Ripe orchard fruits with a floral touch. There are some white strawberries and pink peppercorn here. Very well balanced and not at all bitter or one-dimensional like the ‘22s I offloaded. Beautiful champagne. Deg. 24.

Nice blend of savory mineral notes, white pear, crisp apple — the savory quality really gives away to some bright and pointed acidity. Tight and precise on the palate it feels like it hits you like a laser in the mid-palate. Really fresh and open. I like this a lot.

The 2020 base of this champagne from the three parcels Val Ligé, La Fontaine du Noyers and L'Envers Vigne. Primarily Pinot Noir and Chardonnay but with a dash of Pinot Meunier. Disgorged April 2023 and bottle no. 4080/6700. I believe Bourgogne barrels are used and right after opening it almost feels more Bourgogne than Champagne on the nose with it's kind of reductive characters of struck flint, gunsmoke and a touch of popcorn. But both the nose and palate have …

"No Country for Old Champagne" (Chicago, IL) : 2020 base. Lean, mineral, and pulled very taut. High acidity, with a palate that seems to be missing a bit of overall complexity. Nonetheless, crisp, fresh, and clean -- kind of like a mineral water style of Champagne in its refreshing quality.

Base 2020, DG 4/23 Nose, Mott’s apple juice. Palate, a mouthful of foam. Will need a few minutes to relax. After ten minutes or so there’s a hint of orchard fruit in the aroma. On the tongue, more apple juice. Rumor of lime. Maybe a drop of soy sauce. Those are fleeting glimpses though, it’s basically AJ all the way through. Very linear. Have certainly had better at this price point.

Tasted blind. B2020. Nose of bruised apples, ripe yellow fruit. Plalate a bit too light for my taste.

2020 base. Only the second year in the US market for this producer from the Aube region. 50/50 Pinot noir and Chardonnay. Really lovely nose on the wine, I get lemongrass upfront with some more delicate flora aromas in the background. I’d have guessed more Chardonnay than Pinot from the nose. On the palette, there’s excellent integration of flavors and aromas, and the wine leans more toward the savory side than fruit. The finish on this wine was particularly striking, …

2019 base. Flavors of apple, round texture, drinkable. This is ok but there are better options out there for the price point.

No note taken. Vague recollection of toasty notes that dominated.

50/50 Pinot noir and Chardonnay, bottle 3578 of 6399, no dosage. Green apple and floral notes on the nose. A bit muted taste on pop and pour, but the pear, apple and a bit of mango are starting to push through. 15 minutes in and it emerges so well. The fruit turns a little tropical on the finish, it’s fresh, delicious, balanced. Really amazing effort.

* Nose of crème brûlée, green apple, golden raisins and slight note of fennel and sage * Low to medium acidity * Medium-body * Very enjoyable and would love to drink again

Good on pop and pour. Rich body and nice nose of brioche and honey bomb, but it’s all hollow, liquid fruit pit on the palate. Interesting. Didn’t pick up weight over the hours. Hoping the BdB and Rosé are better.
