This appears pretty young visually, with minimal bricking. Nose is subtle but has a pleasant candied aspect. Palate shows a rounded mouthfeel with subdued tannin. I would like to see more of the earthy, gamey aspects that one associates with Gevrey. Maybe it’s still just too young. Drink or hold.

This medium ruby wine offers aromas and flavors of Bing cherries, orange zest, clove and minerals. Medium-bodied, fresh, seamlessly alcoholic (13%) and with medium-weight tannins, it retains good depth and definition on the mid-palate. Finishing long and with a bit of tannic bite, it is a solid offering that will reward some patience. Drink 2018-2024.

Well made wine, but being consumed way too early. Bing cherries and red berries dominate the nose; on the palate, acidity is bright, fruit shows but the wine needs time to develop complexity. Try again in 2 years.

Warm red fruits on the nose. Touch of farmyard stink & very slightly volatile lift. Bit rough around the edges maybe. Soft open palate. No particular depth or complexity, just a good solid Gevrey Chambertin: open, easy & ticking the boxes for easy drinkability.

Rose ruby; smoky, meatier, dark cherry; rounder on the palate, fuller; solid.
