Found these bottles that I have been saving. Glad i looked that the time frame was shortening. Good color and mouthfeel. Cherries, and tannins that made me glad I waited. A really nice wine.

A testament to the positive benefits of short- to mid-term cellaring. I bought this bottle in 2007, and opened it last night. Six years after harvest and four years after purchase, this wine was drinking as I hoped when I first tasted it. Rich, plummy, plenty of spice, and a nice amount of acidity. Very plush mouthfeel. An excellent example of what Barossa Shiraz can do if you give it some more time.

Not as much fire as some Shirazes I've enjoyed. Not bad, plenty of flavor but off balance. Blackberry, a bit of plum, and spice. Heat overpowers a bit - enjoy with a good spicy or hearty meal.

last of my bottles. 90 minute decant: absolutely delicious, better than I last remembered. Plum jam and plum skins, luscious briary black fruits, vanilla, seamless tannins provide a soft mouthfeel. Midpalate has more black fruit, chocolate, and subtle spice. Nice medium-long finish. Well balanced with acidity, back end structure is very impressive and finished with a fine tannin plum skin note. Outstanding. 90-92

Purple-black; intense smoked meat, eucalyptus, black cherries, blackberries, cola; ripe berry, slightly spicy, syrupy, medium-full body, decent structure, firm ripe tannins, lingering finish. Decanted 1 hr. Fragrant nose led to syrupy, tongue-staining fruit. Reminded me of Torbreck Woodcutter's.

Deep dark purple, opaque. Aromas of cedar, raisin, dark ripe plums, with a touch of coffee. This is a viscous wine that coats the mouth with dark berries, cherries, and a touch of pepper. The tannins are soft and finish is medium-long. Very fruit-forward although leaning on the side of excessive.

Decanted and tasted over the course of almost 3 hours. Nose of creamy muddled fruits, and a burnt rubbery FUNK that lasted for the full 3 hours - can't quite put my finger on that note, but this wine is almost worth buying just to smell that funky nose. Gift from neighbors as they moved away. Decant and pour. Deep dark color belies a body that is lighter than expected. Nose of cherries, some plum, and oak. Fruit-forward easy-to-love style, but not over-the-top. Dark cherries throughout, with a bit of licorice and chocolate in the short finish. Not a complex wine, and in fact surprisingly unidimensional. Its leading qualities include delicious fruit, balance and nice mouthfeel. Little tannin suggest to drink the next and last bottle within two years. …

Don't know what all the hype is about on this particular wine. So ordinary. It doesn't taste like a very "NEW WORLD" shiraz though. It definitely has a bit more dimension in flavor comparing to other typical shiraz from Australia. But if i want this type i would look into other country's shiraz/syrah. On the nose you have berrys and licorice. Lacks concentration on pallet. Balanced acidity and tannin is ok. Medium length finish. It's ok.
