Domaine / Maison Vincent Girardin Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières

Big wine, quite rich and developed with golden color. Ok wine but lacks freshness and precision, not particularly balanced. Seems like the hot vintage was not handled too well.

Lovely pure flinty. Classy wine and showing good.

Coravin: golden straw; brief hazelnut spice followed by heavy reduction; tainted

Nose: pineapple, white flower, cream, ripe pear, apricot, creme brulee, apple pie Notes: 13% ABV. This shows characteristics of a ripe vintage. Dancer being one of my favorite makers is showing plenty of power and weight in this vintage. My third time visiting this wine and I've had very consistent notes, surely is drinking quite nicely now and slowly stepping into its prime drinking window. Two weeks in France; 4/12/2024-4/24/2024 : Under DIAM. Was lucky to have gotten this, apparently they only received a bunch of Dancers a few days ago and this was one of three bottles. Thought this was similar in style to the Lamy-Caillat - tensile, pure citrus fruit but with slightly more weight and less electricity. Nose: coconut, pineapple, caramel, popcorn, white flower Notes: rich and expressive as usual. I am not a great fan of the vintage usually but the winemaking from the Domaine seemed to have overcame the heat in the vintage. This continued to improve as the bottle opens up, in short this is a great wine and Dancer has continued to show its superior quality. Anise on nose, crisp, balanced but a bit closed, will keep my other bottles 3+ years

Nose: peach, white flowers popcorn, pineapple, Notes: very elegant and smooth. One can certainly feel an additional fatness from the weather of the vintage. I really like Dancer wines as they are always so balanced without being too steely nor too fat. Without a doubt this is still a bit young right now but it's very difficult to resist a dancer! PnP. A touch fleshy on open, but picked up considerable balance with some air. Classic MP minerality on the nose and lovely ripe white fruit on the palate framed by a nice level of acidity.
