Colaneri Estate Winery Sauvignon Blanc Fumoso Bianco

vin provient de la reserve "the vault", vien tres agé, couleur paille/doré/or. nez envoutant de vin de glace, pomme, pêche, maïs. Au gout, pomme Gala, acidite bien balancer, bien sec (aucun sucre), caramel. excellent vin a laisser viellir!

Our golden colour "Fumoso Bianco" is made in the "appassimento" style then barrel fermented and aged in French oak barrels. Bursting with aromas of guava fruit and ripe gooseberries with hints of melon and honey on the palate.

Dark yellow in color. Nose isn't what I'd expect from a Sauvignon Blanc, likely due in part to the portion of dried fruit used. Ripe apples, apricot, honeydew and lemon on the nose. Green apple, honey, and lemon on the palate. Apples and lemon on the finish. Not as zippy as a New Zealand example - but nice body and warmth closer to a lightly oaked Chard.

This was a gorgeous wine. Straw Yellow in color with sweet aromas of honeysuckle, apricot, peach and apple.
