Pfaffenheim Pinot Gris Hatschbourg

Off dry style. Licorice is the pre-dominant impression. Fair fruit, could do with more acidity

Excellent wine, fruity but not too much, with strong aromas of apple and pears.

Almost-medium silver-gold in the glass. Green apple and lemon-spice on the nose. Off-dry, strong acidity, medium body. Agave nectar, citrus, apple again but riper; floral notes—a nice swirl of flavours, though perhaps very slightly cloying on the sweetness-floral axis. Good length. Good QPR (at least for BC!).

On the nose there's chalk, candy, ripe red apple, lemon & spice ~ On the palate it's lush & round with crisp acidity & slight hint of sweetness to add balance with flavours of honey, sweetened lemon, clovey spice & pineapple ~ Nicely balanced
