Consistent with our prior tasting notes, but the fruit has dissipated to the point that this is almost exclusively mineral-driven and beginning to feel out of balance. Still enjoyable, but I don't think there's more positive future development ahead. Drink up.

Nose: pear, white flower, yuzu, brioche Notes: 12% ABV, believed to be 4g dosage and believed to be disgorged in 2013. Drank from a magnum. Quite some nice minerality here. A bit of grenness on the nose though. While this does seem to be quite stable and presentable at the same time nothing is too special about it either. I can't associate this with the word Speciale in any form unfortunately. I think this is approachable today but I'm just …

In magnum format. Lovely aromatic nose with white flowers and peach. Palate was lean but precise. Unfortunatelt, there was no fireworks. 90+

Impressive, and at least in the earlier tastes, hard to stop sipping. Fairly rich and full-bodied, this BdB is definitely mature and has some oxidative character. Based on this bottle, and the way it turned a bit flabby later, I would drink these sooner.

Quite matured and oxidative. In a good way as it adds character and complexity. Overall rather delicious and probably a good time to drink.

2017 Chassange Montrachet Rouge Blind : I remember the last I tasted this, I give a high score of 97 6 months ago. And both from same source, unfortunately this bottle is more advanced and show sign of oxidation. Notes of bruised apple, nutty, barnyard. I thought it was a 1980s champagne when tasted blind. Hopefully able to revisit this bottle again.

Lean. Great acidity. Not a ton of fruit but these Chetillons needs time. Quite youthful. 92+

Very elegant, reminds a little of what selosse does with his cuvees. Honey, apricot on the palate. Very long and smooth finish. Bubbles so fine that it feels more like a great white burgundy that happens to have bubbles. Patience will be rewarded, this one will easily cellar for another 10. i will revisit this 07 then. Bravo

Better than the last bottle, this is a really interesting story of a wine at an interesting place. Chetillons is always laser focused, chiseled and taught. In a vintage like 07, what this has done to this wine, is evolve it into something different than what I usually look to this wine for - and it was a welcomed and delicious surprise! Having just been back from Europe and on a rager of Selosse drinking, this bottle retained the tension …

Small taste last night, note from memory. Magnum. Plenty of apple and pear throughout, plus delicately floral. Maturing slightly faster than ideal.

Dujac and Moreau come to town (Chicago, IL) : From magnum. I actually quite liked the mature chardonnay character of this wine. Definitely showing some age, but drinking nicely with plenty of acidity and slightly maturing fruit.

Jake Palace Birthday Celebration : Bouquet opened with slightly oxidative tones, red apples and almonds. Palate showing slightly chalky, brioche, saline, pears, red apples with plenty of tension and precision. Fantastic minerality and energy, really excellent showing!

2007 vintage from Rodolphe Peters Chetillons terroir in Mesnil. His first under his ‘control’. 4gr/l dosage and disgorged in 2013. Matured in steel tanks. Darker gold color and delicate mousse. Aromas of wet bread, almonds, ripe yellow/red apple, but also white stone. Incredibly vibrant, mineral, fresh and linear precise (so typical of Peters). Oyster shell, chalk and slight oxidisation. Medium bodied w long length. Could age much longer (but a have a few bottles left!). What a wine!

Delicious BdB with a lot of maturity flavours combined with vital acidity. Drinking very well here and now but will be nice to drink the next coming years as well.

I was very suprised by this bottle. It was served blind and I guessed it was late 80s early 90s. I was totally blown away this was 'only' a 2007. It was very developed and I felt probably past its peak, as it had lost its freshness and was now getting very tertiary. The bubbles were also quite flat and lifeless. Could it have been a bad bottle? I'm not so sure given there are a few other notes on …

Almost 5 years since I first tasted this wine, which gave an intense experience that I was not prepared for then and which I have not really forgotten since. Given more recent reports I was concerned that I had completely missed out on my own bottles. Well, Imho this wine is not at peak and certainly not past it. While there is no enormous citrus/lemony explosion like 5 yrs back, it certainly has more balance and complexity and still offers …
