Isenhower Cellars Cabernet Franc Ros�

Followed over 6 hours open. Peach color with a brilliant shine and fast legs. Bouquet is very tame and translates to not much more than a pleasant glycerin/mineral palate with a good splash of acidity. There are some light stone fruit, apple, and melon activities therein, but not enough Cab Franc markers for me to recognize it as such. Not bad, I just found it boring, which might be a bigger sin ;) 5+7+13+6= 81

50F. Pale pink. Nice nose with balanced fruit and some herb/green. Dry with good acid, again strawberry, watermelon, herb and stone. Very nice. Fairly traditional south of France style rose. Great QPR.

easy drinking affordable pink

Not as crisp and clean as one might want but the wine is, for the price, more than solid. More depth than crispness, more lushness than acidity. Tasty and enjoyable. The only unfortunate note is that it faded quickly - went back to have a little bit 4 hours after opening and it was flat and uninteresting. The obvious lesson? Drink it faster.
