Turkish wines sure have come a long way! These two indigenous-to-Turkey grapes work quite well together, and exhibit quite an interesting depth and complexity especially if you pair them with some spicy-rich Turkish meat dish (lahmacun in our case!)

Medium ruby with purple highlights. The nose suggests fresh black berries as well as sweet spices with a touch of earthiness. On the palate this one has array of opulent blackberry, black mulberry and cassis along with fresh plum and clay rich minerality. Medium body, velvety balance, well integrated tannins, just lacks in enough acidity and the wine is on the edge of being a bit flabby.

Not tasty but well structured and with a somewhat boring rustic finish. The nose was boring but the mouth feel almost balanced. Good grip, lively acidity, medium body, medium long finish. Somewhat bitter and boring finish though. 77-79 p.

A blend of Bogazkere and Okuzgozu grape varietals which are indigenous to SouthEast Anatolia. Nose - slight herbal mouth - good fruit (raspberry) good acidity with clean herbal notes. well balanced and drinking very nicely. again reminding me of a rhone style wine.
