Yeasty and bready with some hints of oxidation. Nice apple aromas and flavours. Bubbles were in good shape as well. Nice with fried chicken.

On the nose, we got fresh baked bread, citrus, and ripe apple. And on the palate grapefruit, lime, hazelnut and a long toasty finish with a nice creamy mouthfeel. Was fantastic with my brown butter, sage, and hazelnut gnocchi. Nice wine.

Donna: "A very happy wine! One of the happiest wines I've ever tasted!" The Ocean Reserve series is one of our favorites, admittedly. This bottle was pretty typical and very good, to us. "The bubbles are small and last long, longer than those of the 2006 Brut X we had earlier in the evening." Nice, tiny bubbles, nose is bright and light as are flavors. Notes of toast and citrus but what stands out is how well balanced is this wine. The flavor profile has many components but doesn't lean too far one way or another, it maintains a delightful center course from approach to finish. Very enjoyable!
