Château de Vaux Moselle Les Hautes-Bassieres

This was a fun wine. Riesling style bottle rather than Burgundy, unusual for a Pinot. Light fruity nose. Strawberry fruit, medium but noticeable acidity, very mild oak, hint of perfume, more than a suggestion of brett but not much, mild suggestion of woody stemmy notes, mild tannins. This is light drinking and feels higher than average in residual sugar for PN. Would be great chilled on a summer day. On a winter evening, it's nifty, mild, different.
