Mild nose of lemon and coriander, which soon fades into gunpowder. Palate opens with sweet, syrupy flavours of passion fruit and pineapple, verging on being too sweet. The mid-palate brings balance, with strong, fizzy acidity and sulfurous notes of fried egg and onion. The palate has two elements (sugar and sulfur) that are a bit awkward and off-putting on their own, but they balance each other well. Past its prime, but doing quite well for a 13-year-old Sauvignon Blanc.
