Still retaining nice acidity. Very little of the expected white pepper. Has a bitter spicy quality up the middle of the tongue. Slightly creamy texture. Drink soon.

No time for tasting notes. Will do next bottle. Very nice GV.

This was showing okay but it wasn't as impressive as the bottle I had a few years ago. I don't know if it's fading or just shut down. Or maybe an off bottle. The most obvious absence were the peaches that showed in 2008. This was more about citrus. Nice acidity. Kind of big but not over the top. Decent finish. I've got one bottle left and I hope it's closer to the one I had in 2008. This is …

I've only had about a dozen to 15 gruner veltliners in my life, so frame this statement with that fact: This is hands down the best gruner veltliner I've ever had. Peaches on both the nose and palate. Strong honey on the nose but just a touch on the palate, more towards the finish. On the palate, other white fruits ans some citrus in addition to the peaches. Just a touch of the tell-tale white pepper. Really strong minerality. Good …

The best GruV I've had to date. This wine is so well put to together. Aromatic nose, with nice citrus, stone fruit, and minerality in the mouth. A touch of spice as well. Has suprising weight on the mid-palette, but balances nicely with the acidity. I don't know how much better GruV can get. This is just beautiful.

With Christophe and Jen at Blue Point Grill (Princeton, NJ): Lovely fruit and mineral but a touch overpowered by the food. (Too much spice. Not enough traditional seafood). I thought this drinks better than the other Ott, today.

Subtle peach and minerals on the nose. Limeade and a strange whiff of crayons was intriguing. The palate is luscious and mouth filling with good acid and concentrated fruit. Long finish. Very cool stuff.
