Bacchus Wine merchants trade tasting (Beta bar, Castlereagh Street) : Red and black fruits; a little sweet spice, slightly meaty underpin, jubey notes. Juicy, fleshy, fruits a little more concentrated than the protégé, talc textured burr, again a little bitterness and alcohol warmth on the finish. Hmm.

Very surprising. Doesn't display the normal characteristics I associate with Pinot. Quite fruity and smooth, but an abundance of alcohol (almost like a zinfandel).
