Expressive, detailed and youthful aromatics that show dark cherry fruits some subtle earth notes and spice elements. The fruit elements on the bouquet are more dark / black fruits versus a red fruited profile and on the riper spectrum. The color is translucent dark ruby. The medium bodied palate contnues the dark fruit notes with excellent overall balance and length. There is some firmness on the finish that suggests this will benefit from bottle age. Very perfumed, elegant nose. Note similar to the village Volnay (Palate of slightly underripe raspberry and ripe cherries. Some violets. Touch of earthiness on the finish). Just more complex and deep.
