Excellent This last bottle was by far the best. For my taste it seems that these need bottle age and now I feel even worse for my 'good enough, quite good' experiences years earlier. This seems like it could easily go another five years as there's still so much up front higher toned fruit. Very polished and seamless. Very nice on night one after a good decant. Fruit notes of dark cherry and raspberry have softened, tannins are noticeable, but in the background, some soft spice. Everything is more subdued than last time I opened a bottle a year ago when I felt it was singing. Night 2 was faded. I would drink up over the next year.

Bravo Gramercy! Tremendous Syrah that had enough backbone for rich and integrated flavors and textures after 10 years. Classic Washington Syrah profile and proof well made Washington wines cellar well. Still plenty of time left but won’t get much better, my guess.

Part of a West Coast Syrah night with my wine group. This was the first red of the night, immediately following a Bourgogne-Aligote. I think this suffered by coming right after the Aligote. Later in the evening, with more air, and after trying some of the other Syrahs it was singing. Very savory, compared to the other and younger Syrahs.

My rating is conservative This is an outstanding wine in all respects. Has aged beautifully. Dark ruby color, full bodied, rich delicious fruit flavors, integrated tannins that cleanse the palate but don’t dominate. I am very lucky to have found this bottle

Earthy herbal nose. Plum and blackberry on the palate, with a subtle mineral streak. Medium body and good balance with integrated tannins make this a good wine for drinking with a variety of foods or on its own. Drinking well now but will hold my only other bottle for another 2-4 years.

nose has very light smoke, leather, parlsey and dried fruit aromas. Tight at first for sure, body is medium-, dark color on the purple side. Fruit is light to medium, does develop on the palate with some air and the tartness that was being experienced at first fades off. I put it into the decanter, feeling it was needed. Very Good. This is still coming together and is drinking very well. I still get some polish and impression of oak treatment even though this sees no new oak. Ripe, dark fruit, not overly extracted, very high quality. Smooth and inviting. This worked realy well with a rich cut of Santa Maria marinated skirt steak, grilled. I have one more bottle and want to see where it goes in a few more years, 2025-2026. 13.9% abv

This drinks very well for the price point. Tannins are just present enough to provide some structure and while the fruit is prominent, it retains an elegance that begs for another sip. Bonus points for being just under 14% at 13.9%. Really enjoyed this.

NISID described it well. Absolutely ready to go. Graceful and balanced tannin and acidity. Lovely blue/purple fruit, earth, leather, light floral notes in nose, smoke, bit of spice to go along. Nicely layered, medium long. Enjoyable before and with dinner. Drink up.

A nice smokiness on the nose with some leather, lavender and dried red fruit. Red and black fruit on the palate. Great acid. A nice mineral streak. Medium body. Tartness with some tannin and spice on the finish. Very food friendly, but complex enough for sipping on its own. Glad I held this bottle for a few years. This wine still has plenty of great years ahead of it. I wish I had more.

Huge nose on this one. Tons of red and black fruit, stones, tar, smoke, spice and olive tapenade. Velvety and lush with soft but still substantial tannins and a mouthful of dark cherry, liquorice and espresso. Nice long and smooth finish. Very nice Syrah from Gramercy.

Very savory nose of burnt ends, black olive, dried mixed fall herbs and tar with just hints of violet and forest berries. In the mouth the same savory notes but with much more mixed berry fruit and a great streak of pulpy sour orange running through zest and all. On the fuller side of medium bodied with great acid and just the right amount of well integrated tannin. Very nice wine in a very good place right now.

Medium acid, medium tannins, 13.9% ABV, medium body, medium intensity, medium finish. Delicious and nicely balanced. Paired beautifully with Marinated Bone-In Leg of Lamb (red wine, balsamic vinegar, garlic, rosemary, mint, Dijon mustard).

Ran through a vinturi then an hour in a decanter, the nose is rich and hot, with dark fruit and oakiness readily apparent. The palate is still very young, with not much complexity going on yet, more time in the cellar may allow something more interesting to develop.

Nose is all about the purple and black fruit; ripe plum, blackberry, boisenberry, Concord grape. You really need to dig got anything savory. Maybe some soy sauce and jerky. Slight bit of vanilla as well? You can feel the 13.9 in the nose too. Still drinking totally primary at 7 years old. Plenty of ripeness and tight, pointed tannins. Good bit of acid to prevent it from being flabby. Drinking well now but will definitely go awhile.

This is one of the better Gramercy syrahs I've tried. It is smooth, sweet, and easy drinking (like all Gramercy wines), but it has a complex flavor profile with lots of rubber, bacon, and jalapeño (in addition to the core of sweet ripe blueberry and blackberry fruit). The wine doesn't seem ageworthy given the lack of concentration, tannins, and acidity. At any rate, it is certainly ready to drink now.

This has improved a lot since I opened the first bottle a year ago. The finish goes on forever. Dark fruits in a salty, earthy green olive stew. This really shines on day 2. Glad I have more.
