Boating party with the monthly group (One Degree Fifteen, Sentosa) : An unusually deep red for a rose. Simple, but absolutely delicious - Nose opened with a dash of herbs, almost savoury in character, then lots of strawberries. Very pretty on the palate, sweet, yet not overly so, with fresh sour cherry-ish acid wed to slightly candied raspberry flavours and a touch of bramble. Honeymoon in South Africa; 12/16/2008-12/23/2008 (Londolozi, Cape Town, Constantia, Somerset West, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschoek - South Africa) : Surprisingly good Rosé. I certainly was not expecting this. Meat and pepper on the nose, which flowed naturally into a well structure palate which had a light grip of tannins along with fresh berries and more meatiness. Long juicy finish as well. Rather serious and certainly memorable.
