Roagna Barbaresco Vecchie Viti Montefico

This needs a lot of air. We decanted it for ~90 minutes. First tastes were a bit unbalanced. Acid, tannin, all intense. Improved dramatically with additional time. By 3 hours or so it was in a fantastic place and just kept getting better. I wish I had decanted this 3-4 hours before tasting

Really masterful aromas with all that Nebbiolo and Barbaresco can create of desire. Fantastically perfumed with the most delicious rose bushes lying over and giving you tears in your eyes. Light wet summer steam, rosehip, hints of tar, deeper layers of salt (which never get too rough) lie and give the little extra to the aroma picture.
