Bacigalupi Vineyards Zinfandel

What a delightful 11 year old Zin. Big body with full mouth feel and the right touch of tannins. Impressed thst this wine has such a lingering finish. Last bottle, wish I had more!

Still great layers of spice, plum, cherry. Drink in the next year.

This was a disappointing showing from Bacigalupi. While there was nothing "wrong" with this bottle, it failed to show any real character. Dark, dark, dark crimson in the glass with a pleasant nose. Very flat on the palate with little to excite me. Smooth wine is good, but at this price point I wanted _something_ to jump out. Perhaps it's just passed its prime.

The Bacigalupi zin was still in great shape; we brought it to dinner with us at 32 East in Delray Beach - and even shared a taste with the GM, John Bates (who travels to wine country regularly).

Lacked classic zin nose and flavor. Very flat on the palate. Disappointing from this great vineyard. Wine was not bad, just lacked character.

Very smooth.

Clear,very deep garnet. Cedar ,menthol ,cigar box. Low acids, low tannins. Black cherry. Short balanced finish.

Cellar, deep garnet. Blackberry jam, toasted oak, vanilla, bramble. Low acids, medium to low acids. Prune, raisin. Medium to short balanced finish.

Maybe a bit young but is smooth and balanced.
