Clear, medium purple. Clean nose, medium intensity aromas of ripe red fruit (cherry, strawberry, plum), smoke, vanilla, clove from oak, hint of tertiary (leather). Developing. Dry palate, high acidity, ripe medium tannins, medium body, medium (+) alcohol, medium intensity flavours similar to the nose. Medium finish. Good quality Barbera. Nice fruit concentration with the oak present but not dominant, acidity in balance. Lacks complexity and the finish is not particularly long. Drink now (in next two years), not suitable for …
