Vinarija Dingač Plavac Mali Pelješac

Big ass wine. No real tertiary flavors yet. Very immature. Nose of candied red fruit (strawberry), light earth. Big red fruit on the taste with no real mature notes, no green. Heavy bodied, no real tannins and and low acidity. The huge alcohol of 15.6% is well hidden. Ok at $30us at restaurant.

There seems to be such a variety of labels around for different markets, that I hope to have selected the right one for my short tasting note. This seems to be the entry level wine as it is much lighter and simpler then other Plavac Mali I had with the donkey on the label. Pleasant, but very simple wine with (sour) cherries mostly. Medium body, short length. Not bad, just simple. I enjoyed it better slightly chilled (15c).
