Maybe a bit pretentious to call your own wine sublime, but this is indeed a sublime wine, especially considering its price! Made from a local smaller Syrah variety, picked when they are super ripe. Deep ruby coloured. Medium intense aromas of cherry, raspberry, wet earth, violets. Last bottle for me. My last note in 2013 said it would work with soy/teriyaki type dishes, and this did indeed work with seared tuna with a jalapeño ginger soy sauce. Deep ruby to crimson color, with aromas of licorice, smoke, dark fruits, herbs, and minerals, medium body, acid, and finish, and flavors of dark fruits, minerals, herbs, licorice, and soy sauce. Pours deep ruby red. Somewhat muted violet aroma at first. On the palate, red fruits, violets, bacon, crispy chicken skin. Soft tannins. Fabulous fuzzy texture on the finish, which makes its super light body seem heavier than it really is. Great food wine. Fantastic pairing with roasted thyme chicken. At 11 bucks this is an insane value.

consistantly good. not much earth or barnyard but good fruit and minearlity black cherry, clay, cocoa, and some lighter red fruit notes especially on day one. aggree with others on the violet. nice full body with round dusty tannin and above average acidity. great $11 bottle.

This bottle was much better on day 1 than the previous bottle, though I did let this breathe for an hour or so. Good nose of strawberries and raspberries with a hint of earthy forest floor. The palate is fruit driven and similar to the nose, with additional blueberry flavors and medium tannins.

Beautiful reflective ruby red. A bit of a funky nose. About a half-second of nice strawberry on the front palate. Raspberries, strong rose petals, and strawberries take over at mid-palate and into the finish. Rose petals especially dominate the finish. Very light-bodied, almost watery. Quite pleasant. I suspect it will have 3-5 years of drinkability rather than being built for the long haul.

This had a weird odor on day one, but by day 2 it had blown off to display dark fruit and an interesting earthiness. The palate is lighter bodied, with cherry dominating and light tannins, but not too bad for $10.

Deep ruby color this just hinting at purple. Nose of dark fruit, forest floor, licorice, smoke, and roasted herbs. Medium bodied with blue and black fruit, licorice, and a touch of herbs and minerals on the back end. Medium acid and finish. Nice lighter style food wine for lighter meats and veggie dishes. Balsamic or teriyaki flavors would work well.

Although not my style, definitely good value for the price. Got considerably better and started to show once it opened up after about an hour. Full bodoed, slightly floral with some dark fruit. A bit astringent and alcohol seemed quite noticeable at first. Oak and / or tannin seemed a bit too pronounced.
