Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take notes, but I do remember a dominant smoky character and some tobacco. A good wine.

Dusty bing cherry, sweet wood smoke, grilled gamey aromas, and dark chocolate (70% or so) with sweet vanilla comprise this interesting nose. I found the lack of fruit or jammy characteristics interesting, but not necessarily negative. Rich, velvety smooth tannins and moderate acidity compliment this medium to full-bodied wine.
