Darby Cabernet Franc Live Wire Columbia Valley

My goodness. What a beautiful wine with the classic balance between the green aspects old Cab Franc and the sweetness inherent in WA wine. Still tastes like it did at the tasting room. Fresh. But now with overtones of olives and balsamic vinegar (and a much longer finish).

Purple with some ruby edges. Too much heat coming off the nose. It masking the pronounced black fruit notes somewhat. Very pronounced vanilla from the oak. Rich, unctuous black fruit with moderate tannins and nonexistent green pepper or vegetative notes generally associated with Cab Franc. Fairly one dimensional with a medium finish.

Juicy. Firm tannins nice finish. Softish fruit layers, mid-length

Delicious cab franc, great right out of the bottle, silky tannins and dark fruit dominates.
