Provenance Vineyards Premiere Napa Valley Lot 16

Much tighter than last bottle.

Close to perfectly aged. Nose is an unique and intriguing combination of eucalyptus and blueberries. Tannins are still present, though mostly broken down, leaving a sumptuously smooth, beautiful texture but still a slight chewiness. Less fruit forward than I would have expected, but has a nice mixed dark berries flavor. I'd surmise this has at least another 4-5 years left in it.

Wish I had written a note on this within a day or two of drinking it. Somehow I forgot and it's now been 2-3 weeks. Bummer, given the lack of other notes on this wine. I do remember that my wife and I both liked it a bunch and thought it was ready to drink, but I also remember thinking the '04 Provenance Rutherford cab (of which I've had several bottles) was more impressive.
