Pahlmeyer Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

This Pahlmeyer Pinot Noir bottled grapes from the Russian River Valley, Sonoma County. The few other Pahlmeyer Pinot Noir that I have had were made from Sonoma Coast grapes. Exceptional.

Ripe out of the gates. Needed some air to open. But if chat from the barrel on the first nose with time dark fruits cola and herbs emerge. Deep and textured but not the most complex. Drink within the next couple of years.

Balanced

Deep red color and clear. Aromatic with some age. Aromas of strawberry, road tar and greenery. Dry with a medium body. Crisp acidity and medium tannins. Fair balance with flavorful intensity. Flavors of cranberry, fresh tarts and plastic. Long finish. Very good.
