Delicious 😋 Still showing plenty of structure on the finish.. personally this wine still has several good years left. No notes of wankiness, just a good mouthfull of wine that made me smile on Valentines Day with my Valentine. Enjoy at your disposal. 😉

This wine comes with a screw cap, which is an observation rather than criticism. On first opening, there are generous aromas of dark fruits. It's smooth and fruity on the palate from the off with black fruits and brable jam, gentle acidity and very soft silky tannins that need a good mouth-swirl to emerge. On the back there's a hint of lingering dark cherries. This is mainly fruit-driven, but for those who like that kind of thing it is sure …

Has everything you expect on nose and on palate. But the meal finished, the final portion of the glas presented a severe and rather unpleasant tannin finish. We'll see what the second half delivers in the next day or two (rebottled with minimum ullage in a 375 ml with Stelvin. Won't be finishing dinner before the wine, though.

Need more of this. Much more than approachable now, while having all necessary to cellar for quite a while.

Singapore Airlines - Business & Lounges; 10/9/2016-10/12/2016 (Sydney, Singapore, Frankfurt) : {screwcap, 14.5%} Dark ruby but translucent at the edge. Leafy – far leafier than the Katnook purporting to be from the same grape. Black fruit flavours; more currant and herbs. The palate is a little syrupy, with warm jammy flavours, minimal tannins, little oak, medium weight. All the signs of fairly high yield fruit are here. I wouldn’t be keeping it either.

Coonawarra Roadshow (Ivy, George Street, Sydney) : black and red currant fruit, slight herbaceous notes, slightly rich. In the mouth it's juicy but concentrated and quite dense - good structure - fruit caries on the medium plus length. Okay.

The wine looks purple/inky colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. Abundant nose, smells like cinnamon and plum. Very strong flavour on first taste, lots of tannin. It tastes like plum and flint. The body is medium/full. The wine finishes long. Should cellar well and round off.
