Aged for 12 months in oak, bottled unfiltered. Translucent, rather thin rose red color. Lovely, fragrant nose full of typical Nebbiolo aromatics: smoke, rose petals, ripe red forest fruits, dried flowers, some sour cherry and a hint of something animal. Quite dry, medium-bodied palate with surprisingly modest acidity for a Nebbiolo. Ripe, rich flavors of raspberry, notes of floral complexity, sour cherry and some dry, woody spice.
